However, it is always advised to consult your physician or nutritionist before opting for The Sacred Heart Diet.

The soup which is the main ingredient in The Sacred Heart Diet has to be taken daily. This soup is a very low calorie soup and is really beneficial to lose weight quickly.

The sacred heart soup recipe

This soup can be taken at any time of the day as it adds no calories to your body.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans stewed tomatoes
  • 3 large green onions finely chopped
  • 1 can fat-free beef broth
  • 1 pack chicken noodle soup mix
  • 1 cup finely chopped mushrooms
  • 2 cans green beans
  • 4 cup carrots chopped
  • 1 bunch celery chopped
  • 2 bell peppers chopped
  • Salt n pepper to taste

Method:

  • Add all the vegetables to a soup pan and cover the vegetables with water.
  • Cook for 10 minutes.
  • Now add the soup mix and beef broth and simmer until the vegetables get soft.
  • Turn off the flame and add salt n pepper.
  • Garnish with chopped celery and serve hot.

Day 1: Soup and Fruits (except Banana)

On the first day, you can have fruits like cantaloupe, watermelon, berries, apples, oranges. However, the first two have lesser calorie content than the others. So, you have to include only soup and fruits in your diet on the first day and nothing else.

 

Day 2: Soup and Vegetables
The second day includes a vegetable diet. Include loads n loads of green leafy vegetables like romaine, spinach, lettuce, other vegetables cooked or uncooked. However, it is advised not to include peas, corn or dry beans in your veggie diet. The soup and the vegetables make the whole food of your second day. No fruit should be taken today. For dinner, you can have baked potato cooked in a very little butter.
